AIDS Vancouver will be launching on July 17 two new documents:
the HIV/AIDS Education Handbook and the AIDS Vancouver Orientation Handbook!
During the Summer, the library will only be open Monday-Thursday, 9am-4pm.

Simon Fraser University student, Arthur Yee won the IABC Student Communicator of the Year award for his co-operative education semester working here at AIDS Vancouver.
Arthur worked on AIDS Vancouver's annual report among many other projects. Congratulations Arthur!

The Centre would like to invite you to our 4th Annual Awareness Breakfast to observe National Day Against Homophobia, May 17th. This observance has grown tremendously since 2003 when first organized by the Fondation Émergence in Quebec. There are currently over 20 drugs available to treat HIV, but there is still a need for new drugs. This is mainly because HIV can become resistant to the drugs used to treat it. Researchers are not only trying to develop drugs that have a powerful effect against HIV, but that are also easy to take and cause fewer side-effects than those that are currently available.
