i have a question . i got HIV ag/ ab combo screen test done ? what kind of test is that? does that look for anti bodies?
the results said : non reactive, HIV final interpretation: no HIV p24 antigen and no HIV 1/HIV 2 antibodies detected?
also another question
i got another HIV test done which was after 2 years of possible exposure and i am still worried i thought i will feel better after getting done after two years. this test was HIV1/2 AG / AB COMBO SCREEN. and it was non reactive and said no HIV p24 antigen and no HIV1/ HIV 2 antibodies detected. whats the difference between those two type of tests i mentioned ? and how accurate are they? do i need to retest again? two years is more than enough to know your status right?
and also i had a rapid test done as well and it was non reactive. what kind of test is a rapid test and how accurate is that?

Hello, I am M 36 straight. I had vaginal sex with one of my friend who cam back from Sanghai and then Tokyo after 7 months. She is 45 and bisexual. She has many male gay friends in Asia. She was with me all night and I had sex for 5 times. I also got tier on my foreskin and have noticed blood on my foreskin. I got little concerned in the morning. She said that , she don't remember having sex with any one in last 6 months. But she also said, if she is drunk she doesn’t remember if someone had sex with her. She also said she was infected with Chlamydia 10 years ago. That’s when my fear started. I also noticed some yeast in her vagina. I asked her to take test for STI including HIV. After lot of request for 14 days, she took all STI test including HIV duo test. She was negative for everything, except yeast was found in her vagina. I got tested for all STI including HIV (duo) on 28th day. Everything came back negative, except HSV1 (positive) (But I never tested for STI before and can not confirm if that is due to this exposure). Now that 7 week is completed, I notice a very mild itching inside my penis when my bladder is full. When go to bathroom to itch or check, I don’t find anything. After emptying my bladder, I feel relaxed and don’t notice that itch. Also, the tear on foreskin in now healed. I notice the healed skin is light blue in colour (not Pink). In last six week I had 3 pimples( Skin abscesses) on my buttock, each after 1 week gap. I took antibiotics for a week and that helped.
Based on above, I request you to please answer my following question
1. How reliable is my test result for hiv test and STI test after 28 days?
2. Does my symptoms are indication of HIV or any other STI?
3. Is noticing a mild itch is a result of the fear, I am going through?
4. What does the boils/skin abscesses indicate?

4 weeks ago I had a high risk exposure with a SW since my condom broke during vaginal sex.
We also had anal, vaginal and oral sex with condom.
I am really worried since I experienced all the ARS symptoms:
- sore throat
- cough
- back pain
- muscle and joint pain in my legs + weakness
- mouth sore
- fatigue
- diarrhea
I had the COMBO/DUO test at 16 days and was NEGATIVE
I also went in USA and did a HIV RNA quantitative test that was also NEGATIVE at 24 days
How much luck there is left for me? What's the actual probability of being negative after this 2 tests at day 16 and 24.
Tomorrow will be day 28 and I will be going again for a COMBO test.

I have read a lot of questions so I won't ask a question that has been asked before.
I had sex with a girl. I don't know her HIV status. Used a condom and it was latex and not expired. It remained on my penis during the only sex act that happened which was vaginal. it did not break and I checked it after sex by filling it with water, no leakage.
I had a test on day 21 after this. It was a 4th generation ab/ag HIV test. it was non-reactive.
I have read a lot of your answers that this test is best taken at the 4th week mark. Since I know this I don't need the same answer but I need to know if you guys would give me any idea about how good and reassuring is this test on the 21th day mark.
Can the combination of a low risk activity and 21th day ab/ag hiv test negative be reassuring enough for me to stop worrying?

I would like to know please if an HIV MEIA 4th generation test at 13 weeks 4days after a low risk (unprotected fellatio) can detect all groups of HIV like the rare ones N and P; If not, would a PCR test detect these?
