HIV Testing
9 Weeks ago I had unprotected sex with a guy. The unprotected sex was very short and I only topped him for about twenty seconds before I put on a condom. About 2 weeks after that incident I tested positive for Chlamydia. Now I'm nervous I might have contracted HIV too. So I have taken a lot of tests and all of them have come back negative. The test I took and the dates I took them were....
3 weeks --- Antibody and RNA-Acute HIV Test
5 weeks --- PCR DNA Test
6 weeks -- Antibody Test
8 weeks --- PCR DNA Test and Antibody test
Do you think I could be positive?
I'm going to test at 12 weeks but wanted to seek a DR. advice.

I am male, 23 years old and I had unprotected sex and i did the folowing tests:
- 16 days post exposure: RNA PCR and ELISA
- 30 days post exposure: RNA PCR, ELISA and WESTERN BLOT
- 80 days post exposure: ELISA and WESTERN BLOT
All my results are negative. With 75 days post exposure I had symptoms like high fever and severe diarrhea for 2 days. Also the night after my fever has gone, I had sweats for the whole night.
Also i have thyroid problems, i take syntroid every day since i was 8 years old.
I'm worried if i need to re-test, are my results conclusive, is possible that those symptoms are refered to the accute infection of HIV. Can my thyroid problem affect my window period?

hi when you had unprotected sex for more than a year now i still test negative.and what if u had protected sex with somebody who u dont know there status and the condom dint break and you still test negative can u contract it.

HIV Ag(p24) / HIV Ab (type 1+type2) (CMIA) at 60 days-negative
are these tests conclusive? can i move on?

I got blood test six months ago and it was negative. Since i don't have a regular partner, it happened to have sex with few (3) guys during this time.
I didn't do anything unsafe with none of them, unless that i did oral sex with one of the guys for a bit (no contact with sperm). This same guy came in my chest and i got very worried that time since i had shaved it one or two hours before that happened. I asked in a forum online and i was told that there was no rick with that. So, with all of this guys i had safe sex and none of them came inside (even using condom) during the intercourse activities. So, I haven't done unprotected sex since a break up with a
boyfriend three years ago. I'm always uncomfortable during sex activities
(which i think is not normal), i watch everything and i don't even like the contact of the sperm with my skin because i'm so scared to catch something.
So, I got in panic when i want to get tested. I want to do it but when i wait for the results i dont even sleep during the night. I just want to know how my chances are in fact of what i told above? i need help please.

is there any risk in this situation. Last night, some friend were to my house, drinking, eating, etc...One of my friend, cut his finger with a knife, goes in the bathroom to clean himself. This morning (after 10 hours from that bloody accident), I was in the bathroom, and observe a big red stain of blood on clothes basket. I put some water in my hand and clean the blood with my hand without wearing any gloves. Some blood was on my finger.
Is there any risk from doing this activity?

i got myself involved in a risky sex on the 29th jan 2012 and after passing 100 horrifying days i finally got my hiv test done on the 9th of may 2012..it was cobas e 411 ,roche elecsys HIV combi assay test and the result came out to be non reactive with cut off index 0.31..now my question is do i need to get another test done after 6 months or this test is conclusive?before the possible exposure i took this test ,just to find my status and the cut off index was .27 and after 4 months it came out to e 0.31..so is this a concern?
