Terms and Conditions

You can borrow 2 books and 2 videos for 2 weeks.

Requests are on a first-come, first-served basis.

Resources designated as "Library Use Only" will not be loaned out.

Journals will not be loaned out.

Lending services are currently available only to Vancouver residents and AIDS service organizations in British Columbia.

Borrowers are responsible for all materials checked out on their Library card. Items cannot be checked out if a borrower possesses overdue items.

Renewals

Books and videos may be renewed once if they haven't been requested by another patron. Please call us at 604-893-2294 or send us an e-mail to library@aidsvancouver.org.

Vancouver Residents

Unless you are unable to come in person due to disability or access issues, please pick up items at PARC Library. To ensure that we reserve items you request, you can fill out the borrow form. If items are out, we will contact you.

If you already have a PARC library card, don’t forget to include the card number in the borrow form, and bring your library card with you when you pick up your material.

If you lost your PARC library card, please indicate it in the comment form. Bring photo identification with your address on it AND a recent utility bill (preferably a phone bill no more than one month old) when you pick up material and we will issue a new card

If you are unable to come in person due to disability or access issues, use the comment section of the borrow form to provide us with information about these issues and we will contact you.

BC AIDS Service Organizations

• Use our online catalogue to search material
• Add desired items to list (2 books, 2 videos and 5 journal articles maximum)
• Resources designated as Library Use Only will not be loaned out
• When you are finished, click “View list”, then click “Borrow”
• Fill out the borrow form and click “Order”.
• We will contact you to confirm your order.

Photocopies

Journals cannot be loaned out; however we can send you photocopies of journal articles at the cost of 10 cents per page. Please limit your requests to 5 journal articles.
