AIDS Vancouver’s Positive Change Red Ribbon Campaign is a multi faceted campaign with cultural, educational and fitness orientated events throughout November 2011 aimed to galvanize the Vancouver Community around the red ribbon in support of those who are living with HIV. We need to work together to promote prevention, education and support for those living with and affected by HIV.
The Positive Change Red Ribbon Campaign encourages the Vancouver Community to be involved in opportunities to Prevent | Act | Support during the month long campaign. This could be as simple as wearing a red ribbon throughout November to show your support for British Columbians living with HIV, attend one of our free noon hour lecture series, take the Sunday “Raise The Barre Fitness class”at Barre Fitness in support of the campaign or attend one of our other fun events scheduled throughout November.
November 2011 has been officially proclaimed Red Ribbon Month throughout the City of Vancouver by Mayor Gregor Robertson and City Council. This proclamation signifies the importance and the endorsement of the Positive Change Red Ribbon Campaign by the City of Vancouver. We are very proud to have the Mayor and Council supporting this very important Campaign again this year.
