Prevention Services

There is no cure or vaccination available for HIV. We must prevent its spread.

HIV Prevention and Awareness Programs aim to educate and empower communities in the fight against HIV/AIDS. We recognize that in order to fight HIV and AIDS, we need to understand it.

This means getting rid of the stereotypes, myths and misunderstandings that people still continue to believe.

Our team of HIV Prevention and Awareness Educators specialize in facilitating a variety of workshops that are tailored to meet the needs of any community.

Currently, we offer ongoing workshops for a variety of communities, such as:

  • Recovery houses and treatment centres
  • Immigrant Services Society
  • Corrections Canada
  • Transition homes (women’s shelters)
  • Residential mental health facilities

Our workshops and trainings provide information about:

  • HIV/AIDS: transmission, testing, viral replication and the immune system
  • Hepatitis abc's: disease progression, testing and transmission
  • STDs: prevention, symptoms and treatment
  • Reproductive health and anatomy
  • Sexual health and related issues
