Theatre Cares raises over $35,000 for charity, and aims to raise $10,000 for AIDS Vancouver as part of Care & Compassion month. There third party event will take place over the course of the year, with a donation to be made at the December 1st, World AIDS Event, hosted at the Opus Hotel in Yaletown. With the help of the Arts Club Theatre, Bard on the Beach, Studio 58 and the Vancouver Opera Association. It is a volunteer-based committee of working theatre professionals. It was founded in 1991. The original purpose was to raise awareness and funds for people living with HIV/Aids in the performing arts world. Please check out www.theatrecares.com for more information.
