How old do you have to be to volunteer?
19 years of age due to liability insurance.

I cannot make it to the next information session. Can I still volunteer?
If there is a current opportunity you are interested in and are unable to attend the next information session, please email [email protected] to explore your options for getting involved.

I’m at school and need some volunteer hours?
Please review our Opportunities Available page for more information about the various way to get involved with AIDS Vancouver and sign up for our next Information Session.

I work for an ESL school, do you take students for short placements?
Please review our eligibility requirements and opportunities available. If you are still interested, please attend our next information session for more information and to meet our Program Coordinators.

I’m in town for the summer, can I volunteer?
Yes. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities including various community events, such as PRIDE as well as program placement opportunities. Please review our Opportunities Available page to see if there is an opportunity that is right for you and if so, sign up for our next Information Session to get started.

We are a group of international students who will be in Vancouver for 3 weeks, can we volunteer with your organization?

I have a client with special needs, do you have any placements?
We aim to provide a wide range of volunteer placements and opportunities. For more information on how we might be able to work together, please email [email protected].

How often are Information Sessions held?
Every 2-3 months, depending on demand. We like to have a minimum of 10 volunteers at each information session.
