National Volunteer Week
To our amazing Volunteers, Thank-you!
National Volunteer Week (NVW) is a time to recognize and celebrate the incredible efforts of our volunteers. It takes place April 21 to 27, 2013 across Canada.
Volunteers are in many ways the backbone of AIDS Vancouver. Each and every day, AIDS Vancouver’s volunteers generate social value for the community and for AIDS Vancouver itself. From unloading produce and milk deliveries in our Grocery program, to a listening ear and resource to someone who is newly diagnosed on the Helpline or resume building with clients in our Resource Center, volunteer efforts in our programs is invaluable. Our volunteers play a vital role in contributing to a healthy and vibrant community and have more value than any money can ever measure. By walking alongside us in the Pride Parade or participating in awareness events, volunteers are essential in assisting AIDS Vancouver achieve our mission to alleviate individual and collective vulnerability to HIV and AIDS. Our environment is one of diversity, respect and inclusiveness. As we grow to meet challenges in the field of HIV/AIDS, so do our volunteers and for that, we thank-you.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank-you.
