Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal Recipients for Excellence in the Field of HIV/AIDS in Canada

We thank everyone who submitted a nomination for the medal. Our movement is fortunate to have so many accomplished leaders who help improve the lives of people living with and affected by HIV. The Canadian AIDS Society is honoured to have been granted the privilege of sharing the medal with 30 members of the HIV community, who are among the 60,000 outstanding Canadians selected to receive this distinction in recognition of the 60th anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth II to the Throne.

The Canadian AIDS Society will be coordinating the presentation of the medals with the nominators of the recipients and will also be presenting some at its 2012 World AIDS Day Gala, to be held Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at the Château Cartier Hotel in Ottawa.
